The Northern Sport, Culture and Recreation District (NSCRD) are seeking one individual for the full-time seasonal contract position of: Ski Fit North Fieldworker
Ski Fit North Fieldworker must have/be able to:

? proficient cross country skiing technique
? experience in ski instruction, coaching and ability to motivate youth throughout a progression of cross country skiing skills ranging from introductory to advanced,
? an extensive racing background and the ability to set training plans,
? knowledge of up-to-date waxing techniques,
? willingness to travel across northern Saskatchewan (overnight stays) and be familiar with and willing to work in a setting of aboriginal cultures,
? to work independently with youth and adults,
? knowledge of NSCRD?s Programs and Services
? excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
? some familiarity with grant proposals, sponsorship and fundraising is preferred,
? excellent organizational skills, lesson planning and able to set and maintain a balanced schedule,
? valid First Aid/CPR or commitment to take during the season,
? a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle,
? Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Check,
? technical certification or ability to demonstrate skills at the following levels: Introduction to Community Coaching (ICC) and Community Coaching (CC); preferred - Learning to Train (L2T) and Training to Train (T2T) or commitment to pursue L2T and T2T certifications this season,
? Fieldworker living in the NSCRD boundaries centered in La Ronge from January to March 2020 is preferred.

The Ski Fit North Fieldworker will work with:

? the club coaches to help communities, schools and clubs develop their ski instruction programs,
? the Ski Fit North Steering Committee that provides guidance and support to the program,
? and answer to the General Manager.

Full time seasonal contract position, January 6 ? March 31, 2020.
