Description

Reporting to the Water Quality Scientist, an employee in this job will, within a multi-disciplinary team environment, provide scientific and technical expertise specific to the WSAs surface water quality activities and programs.  This employee will assist in development and updating of water quality monitoring programs.

This employee will undertake work to implement water quality studies and monitoring programs and will be involved in data quality assurance and program improvement.  They will evaluate and interpret results using accepted scientific techniques and make recommendations. Presentation of study findings will be communicated both in written and oral presentation form.  This employee will provide technical and administrative support and advice to clients, including outside agencies and those within WSA.

You will work among a diverse and passionate team of professionals from fields including engineering, water quality, ecology, law, sociology, and public policy to name a few, that are leading this exciting challenge in our province.

The successful candidate must possess a Degree in Environmental Science or a similar technical discipline and have 2 years of relevant experience.  Education above the requirement may be considered in lieu of minimum experience requirement.
