This Full-Time South West Crisis Services (SWCS) Outreach position will work 35hrs/week The position is responsible for:
- providing Outreach Support and Sexual Assault Services including support counselling, safety planning, advocacy, information, and referrals as necessary;
- implementing services and programs provided by Southwest Crisis Services;
- Violence Prevention Education and Public education on Interpersonal Violence;
- administrative functions; and safety and security.
This position description may change due to operational needs
QUALIFICATIONS
- Two year Diploma in a related discipline.
- Preference given to those who poses at least two years of experience providing programming to adults, children, youth and families in the human services industry.
- An understanding of and sensitivity to issues relevant to family violence.
- Ability and desire to work well with others.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license.
- Safe Places Certified
- Clear Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Check
