HCC is a progressive & professional partner to Saskatchewan mining for 20 years.
We are sourcing Underground Miners to work at Saskatchewan potash project locations in 2020 and have demonstrated competency & attention to safety in:
- operation of scoop trams, continuous miners & other cutting equipment, bolting machines & equipment, & various auxiliary equipment such as telehandlers & skid steers
- installation of conveyance systems & other underground equipment
- construction of underground storage bins & other structural projects
- shotcreting, backfilling & installing concrete foundations
- shaft construction & remediation
In addition to the experience noted above, an ideal candidate will possess:
- a minimum of three years working in an underground mining environment
- current certification in General Mine Safety Awareness, WHMIS 2015, First Aid/CPR, Fall Protection & Aerial Work Platforms
- previous training & certification for operation of specific equipment
- a commitment to working safely & communicating effectively in a team environment
- positive attitude & excellent work ethic
- the ability to work away from home on a work rotation defined by the project
- the ability to work dayshift or nightshift
- a valid drivers license
Strong consideration will be given to candidates who:
- have held Underground Supervisor Tickets in Saskatchewan
- have experience or hold current certification for Blasting
- have trade qualifications or experience, especially in the areas of Ironworking, Welding, Heavy Duty Mechanics or Industrial Mechanics
Candidates should be physically fit &, as part of our screening process, will be asked to perform a drug and alcohol test at a licensed laboratory.
