Description

The Data Services Librarian will work under the general direction of the Associate University Librarian: Content Management and Discovery.  Situated in the Library, the incumbent will be expected to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team of librarians and support staff to provide innovative data support services at the University of Regina.  The Data Services Librarian will be responsible for providing training sessions on data discovery, analysis and management, and presenting to groups across campus about the Librarys data services.  They will be up-to-date on trends in open data, statistical and geospatial analysis, GIS, data visualisation and research data management, and will have hands-on experience or a willingness to learn software and techniques in support of this work.
