Facility: Fond du Lac Nursing Clinic
Job Description: Reporting to the Executive Director of Primary Health Care, the incumbent will be required to function as a PCP in a multi-disciplinary setting both in facility and in community. The PCP will collaborate with the RN to provide assessment and treatment to ill and injured patients presenting to the Health Centre. The PCP will provide support to the health centre, transport clients between home and airport and/or Health Clinic. The PCP will perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Function as a full scope Primary Care Paramedic in the hospital and community setting
Provide support to Home Care and Palliative Care function in a Community Paramedicine role
Ensure employee/client/patient confidentiality at all times
Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed
Perform other duties, as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of a CMA accredited Primary Care Paramedic program
Unrestricted License from the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics as a Primary Care Paramedic
Valid Class 4 Drivers License
Current CPR HCP, ITLS / PHTLS
CAMATA Course Preferred
Ability to fly in small aircraft in all circumstances
Community Paramedicine Training is an asset
Emergency Planning Training is considered an asset
Physically fit to perform duties
