Description

The Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services (YTCCFS) Inc. is seeking an Intake Case Aide Worker/Transporter. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Intake Case Aide Worker/Transporter will provide administrative support services to team staff.  This position will also assist team staff to provide child and family services for the member First Nations of Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services Inc. The Intake Case Aide Worker/Transporter is responsible for assisting program staff ensuring proper documentation and the emergent needs regarding children in care or families in need of services are met in a timely manner.
Qualifications: Knowledge of the FSIN Indian Child and Family Support Act and Saskatchewan Child Welfare Act is a definite asset.
Knowledge of the Cree, Nakota and Saulteaux Culture and the political and social objectives of the YTCCFS Inc. member First Nations.
Knowledge of appropriate YTCCFS Inc. and community resources in relation to client needs.
Must have demonstrated ability to apply interview techniques appropriate for the level of client and to gather, share and clarify information.
Must have the ability to organize and record information.
Ability to provide quality services to individual clients and families through the development of working relationships based on respect and understanding of diverse interests and needs.
Ability to utilize computer software and hardware programs.
Must demonstrate the ability to work independently or be a contributing member of the work team.
Must be prompt and efficient in order to meet organizational and client needs.
Commitment to protecting children.
Must provide a current criminal record check and submit to Abuse Registry screening.
Must sign an Oath of Confidentiality and a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Must provide a clean drivers abstract and have access to a reliable vehicle.
Able to work some evenings and weekends.
