Oversee and coordinate day to day operation, maintenance and safety of all public works functions. Supervise, mentor, train and manage performance of staff within the department. Develop and implement a coordinated plan of routine maintenance and upkeep of property, grounds and equipment. Develop long term plans for equipment replacement, street maintenance and utility upgrading. Provide written and verbal reports to the public works committee at regular meetings. Work with the public and community groups to respond to inquiries, address concerns and ensure the betterment of the community.
The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license with air break endorsement.
The candidate must also have or be willing to obtain the following:
- Level 1 Water Distribution Certificate
- Level 1 Waste Water Treatment Certificate
- Level 1 Waste Water Collection Certificate
- Level 1 Arena Operator
- Pesticide Certification
