You are a motivated, results focused financial accounting professional with considerable experience in the agriculture seed industry. With solid accounting skills and a background in dealing with agricultural regulatory agencies, you effectively manage daily accounting responsibilities with accuracy and provide timely financial analysis and reporting utilizing best practices ensuring compliance with industry legislation. You demonstrate sound judgement, a strong work ethic and success in promoting high levels of accountability and performance that drives company profitability.

-Prepare and analyze financial statements and project reports for regulatory agencies including CGC, EDC, with knowledge of the CFIA legislation as well.
-Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure.
-Direct the process of reviewing invoices and employee expense claims.
-Process vendor prompt payments and reconciled account activity.
-Control inventory balances and book material transfers.
-Identify areas of potential risk within the organization.
-Utilize technology to improve effectiveness and efficiency of audit process.
-Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices.

Requirements:
-4+ years of accounting experience in the Agriculture industry (Accounting Designation would be an asset).
-Comprehensive knowledge of CGC and EDC policies.
-Exceptional financial analytical and reporting skills with the aptitude and ability to learn new ERP system.
-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
-Collaborative with outstanding organizational, time management, multi tasking and prioritization skills combined with effective written and oral communication skills.
