Description

Founded in 1998 d3h Hotels owns and operates 13 hotels across Alberta and Saskatchewan. We are seeking a Financial Controller in our Saskatoon Head Office. The incumbent will consistently demonstrate a high level of drive and commitment. You must be an excellent communicator and team player with a positive and confident attitude. You must possess accuracy and the ability to plan, prioritize and complete a range of assignments to support the short term and long-term strategies of d3h Hotels. You would provide leadership and coordination of the administrative team at d3h Hotels. This position manages and reports to the d3h Hotel Ownership group and Shareholders.
Position:
Oversee all functions of the financial aspects of the company. Provide accurate and timely budget preparation, financial forecasts, accounting and financial reporting. Ensure budget development and management is aligned with broader d3h Hotel strategies, including the review, negotiation and authorization of operational expenses. Align operational practices and procedures within the administrative team with the goals and strategic direction of d3h Hotels. Exercise sound judgment, confidentiality and discretion. Ensure delivery of scheduled monthly and annual financial reports in an accurate and timely manner. Implement procedures and guidelines for the Administration team to follow for risk management, cash control and bank reconciliations. Prepare, review and analyze all financial reporting and internal processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of the results and make recommendations where needed. Assist in the identification of risks and opportunities.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and a professional accounting designation(CPA/CA/CMA/CGA)required. A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in a senior accounting role. Experience with SAGE 300.
