Description

The primary responsibilities of the Building Operators are to respond to work orders and internal requests generated by our clients in a safe and efficient manner.  Duties will include performing routine inspections, ongoing maintenance, monitoring, repairs and maintaining safe conditions of the facility.  

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Minimum 5th Class Power Engineer
-Plan and execute routine inspections and maintenance according to contractual requirements
-Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repairs to building mechanical and HVAC systems
-Perform shift tours and log readings (equipment status, temperatures and pressures)
-Start up/shut down and preventive maintenance on major building equipment
-All water treatment duties
-Diesel, fire alarm and life safety tests
-Maintain comfort levels to building environment and respond to environment/comfort complaints
-Perform all types of general building maintenance and repairs
-Electrical trouble shooting and minor repair
-Maintenance and minor repairs of wiring devices and conduit
-Maintenance and minor repairs of motor control centres, switches, breakers and switchboard components, fixtures, branch circuit wiring, transformers, capacitors, transfer schemes, electrical and pneumatic control devices
-Perform daily regular duties, equipment adjustment and minor plumbing repairs
-Utilize BAS system
-Other tasks as agreed upon by the client and Black & McDonald
