Under the direction of the Town Foreman, this positions primary responsibilities are assisting in road and infrastructure maintenance; assist in utility service maintenance and operations; perform general labourer duties, labor and skilled operation of powered equipment, construction, excavation; assist in reading and maintaining water meters, minor park equipment repairs and park maintenance work by means of manual labor and skilled operation of powered equipment. Performs related duties as required.

Specific Skills
- Spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control
- Operate various equipment and machinery
- Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment
- Dig ditches and trenches
- Clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads and public grounds
- Assist skilled tradespersons
- Assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment
- Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or truck
