Job Description: The Clinical Improvement Facilitator works under the administrative supervision of the Director of Clinical Standards and Professional Practice Rural. As a member of the Professional Practice team, with the goal of improving quality and safety for patients, clients and residents of the Saskatchewan Health Authority, the Clinical Improvement Facilitator is accountable for the development and implementation of patient safety and improvement projects in a regional collaborative practice environment. The Clinical Improvement Facilitator is a leader, educator, facilitator, motivator, and coordinator of quality improvement programs and initiatives implemented by the region's clinical staff departments.
This role will be specifically responsible for the implementation of the clinical aspects of Accreditation Canada's Required Organizational Practices (including Medication Reconciliation and medication management), development & implementation of initiatives to support the regional pursuit of a patient safety culture, and facilitating the clinical aspects of clinical quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Valid drivers license or the ability to travel both within the Region and Provincially
Experience
Requires a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years nursing experience.
Experience with continuous quality improvement methodology and tools (including LEAN), change management and project management preferred.
Experience in developing programs and resources for staff and clients required.
Experience in group facilitation, design and delivery of clinical education programming required.
