Applications are invited for a full-time permanent (6.5 hrs/day) Library Technician to work as part of a team providing support to the school library at Melfort & Unit Comprehensive Collegiate with the North East School Division.  This position will commence February 3rd, 2020.  

Duties will include cataloguing and classification of resource centre material for assisting in the provision of patron services to staff and students, and for assisting in the organization and maintenance of the resource centre. Engagement of readers, creation of maker-spaces and maintaining the libraries social media pages will also be required.

Qualifications:
- Possess a Grade 12 diploma
- A post-secondary education program which has focused on the role and scope of the Library Technician in education
- Proficiency in the use of computers and software such as Microsoft Office, database systems, circulation and cataloguing in addition to other software currently used in the school division
- Purchasing of learning resources, maintaining and management of a budget
- Related experience in the field of education or a library
- Be willing to join the Local CUPE 4875 Union
