David Aplin Group is seeking an experienced professional accountant to assist in preparing financial statements & tax returns for both its individual & corporate clients. As a key member of the team, you will work with a dedicated group of professionals who take pride in their work and in providing superior customer service in a high energy, family environment.

The Role:
Preparing Financial statements, Personal & Corporate Tax Returns and AgriStability Applications.
Assisting clients in making decisions regarding the structure of their business and the associated tax filings.
Preparing plans that focus on tax minimization, wealth maximization and estate. preservation and based on the clients goals and objectives.
Build and maintain excellent client relationships.

The Ideal Candidate:
Proficiency in CaseWare, QuickBooks, AgExpert & other accounting programs.
CPA/ CA is a requirement and Designations in the Financial Services Industry is a definite asset.
Minimum of three years of working experience.
Strong knowledge in estate planning concepts, personal and corporate tax issues. Having a background in agriculture is an asset.
Exceptional computer skills, with the ability to learn new software easily.
Well-developed planning skills backed by education and experience with a CPA firm.
Well-developed communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and able to work without supervision, but with a dedicated team focus.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Professional behaviour and appearance.
