Description

You are a performance driven, reliable facility operator with experience in receiving, processing, handling and shipping products in the agriculture industry. You are diligent with the maintenance of equipment and physical operation facility to ensure the highest degree of work health and safety. You have a positive attitude that enables you to establish effective work relationships with colleagues, producers, truckers and other business partners.

As Mill Operator, you will:
Ensure the compliance of health regulations and safety procedures.
Receive, unload, weigh and document deliveries of pulses and specialty crops.
Take samples of pulses and specialty crops for quality analysis.
Operate grain processing equipment including cleaning, handling, bagging and storing of pulses and specialty crops.
Create scale tickets on receipt of products.
Operate facility control systems, bagging equipment and fork-lift (handling up to 25 kg bags of pulses and/or specialty crops).
Prepare and load export shipments in rail cars and containers.
Prepare shipping documentation and maintaining pulses/specialty crops samples.
Ensure the facility and equipment is clean and well maintained.
Assist in inventory reporting and product condition monitoring.
Provide friendly service to customers and delivery staff.

What the successful candidate will bring:
Background and/or experience in agriculture industry specifically in grain or special crops handling an asset.
Mechanical ability to operate and maintain grain processing equipment.
Physical ability to perform the required duties of the role within a specialty crops facility (lifting, stacking bags up to 25 kg.).
Forklift licence and experience operating a forklift (an asset), or a willingness to be trained/certified.
