Description

The Data Entry Clerk supports the program by performing accurate data entry and word processing duties in various programs specific databases and computer applications. Supports the CDC Nurse to input health data into required health information databases in a timely manner. Provides support in developing and maintaining program related information gathering and recording processes. Understands program objectives and standards, and applies the relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to all activities. Focuses on systematic collection of health data. Works in close co-operation with the CDC nurse, MHO, Tribal Councils, Northern First Nations and provincial health authorities.
This position requires one (1) year of post-secondary education in medical office administration or office administration
Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in data entry into an EMR
Experience in IOM panorama data entry preferred  
Proficiency in English; both verbal and written communication  
Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications such as, MS Word, Excel, Desktop Publishing, Access and PowerPoint are essential
Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset  
Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and collaborate as a strong team member  
A high standard of confidentiality in handling sensitive information
Experience working in a First Nations organization and/or ability to speak a First Nations language is an asset
A Valid Driverss License
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
