The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) invites applications for a rural Family Medicine practice in Fort QuAppelle, Saskatchewan. South East 6 Primary Health Care Network seeks a group of 2-3 likeminded physicians interested in setting up a team practice. A keen interest in Indigenous health is a must! Individual applications are also welcome.
Position details and responsibilities include:
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based, full-spectrum care to a diverse patient population
- Walk-in/urgent care visits in settings with x-ray and lab support
- Complete care of patients with chronic and complex medical conditions
- Provide emergency care on call in a busy and exciting (and newly renovated!) rural emergency room
- Have your say in healthcare planning and system improvements via regular clinic, hospital advisory, and Practitioner Advisory Committee meetings
Qualifications:
- Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) (or be eligible for).
- Provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan (or be eligible for).
- ACLS certification.
- Willingness and ability to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Family Medicine in the Regina Area.
- In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
