Description

This position is responsible for coordination and administration of training programs as well as various aspects of the companys immigration program.  
General Responsibilities
Serve as an integral member of the Human Resources team to coordinate training and development and identify training needs of all employees
Source programs to meet training needs and provide information to employees and Managers and provide on-going curriculum development
Maintain employee database to track training activities and ensure employee training records are updated in each personnel file; notify Managers when employees are to attend training sessions
Provide administrative support for all in-house and external training activities
Register employees in internal & external training programs and communicate training opportunities to all employees through regular correspondence
Monitor training expenditures and participate in the development of training budgets
Generate reports as required
Monitor employee progress and provide support as required
Assist with immigration process; includes communicating with Government Agencies and the companys immigration consulting firm
Immigrant settlement (will include travelling to airport & throughout province) and handling other immigration issues (ie. work permit extensions, assistance with permanent residency, etc.)
Enter status change information in payroll system (possible timesheet entry for payroll as well)
Working with confidential data & information in professional manner
Assist the HR Department with other duties as required
Education/Experience Required
Degree in Human Resources preferred
Experience with MS Office applications
Willingness and ability to visit production units as required (travel & valid drivers license will be required with this position)
Self motivated, organized and detailed oriented; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
