Job Description: The Speech/Language Pathologist is a member of the Community Services multi-disciplinary team, with responsibility for assessment and intervention in speech and swallowing concerns of home based clients within the SHR. Main areas of responsibility include clinical services, prevention services, administration/management of caseload, and consultation services. The incumbent will work within the mandate of Community Services department. The majority of the caseload will be in dysphagia management in a number of categories including follow up of discharged patients from the acute facilities, vulnerable populations in the community, those living in the community with feeding tubes, and patients at risk for admission to acute care as a result of feeding concerns. Other referrals appropriate for speech and language pathology assessment and intervention will be addressed as required
Required Qualifications
Eligible for membership in the Saskatchewan Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA)
Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic computer skills
Advanced interpersonal skills
Advanced organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Effective oral and written communication skills

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
