Description

Position:
The Fabrication Technician works as a team member in the Fabrication department. The position involves the operation of various fabrication equipment (Brake, Saw, Lathe, Drill, etc.).
Tasks/Responsibilities:
-    Set up machines and equipment for use in the Fabrication Department.
-    Operate brake, saw, plasma cutter, lathe, drill.
-    Communicate and coordinate with supervisors and team members to assure a timely supply of required products.
-    Ensure that standards for safe working conditions are observed (proper use of PPE, etc.).
-    Fill in and operate machines or equipment as needed to ensure work flow.

Knowledge and Experience:
-    Competent in the operation of fabrication machinery.  
-    Production experience in a manufacturing environment, with fabrication/manufacture.
-    Experience working with and setting up CNC machines, welding, lathes, bending, sawing, etc., highly preferred.
-    An understanding of measurements, tolerances, basic geometry.
-    Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and Outlook).
-    Possess the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
