HOME CARE NURSE
Two (2) positions
For the Community of La Ronge
Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services Department is currently seeking two (2) highly motivated, self-directed Registered Nurses to work in the field of Home Care Nursing. These positions will be located in La Ronge, SK; however, nurses will be required to travel to LLRIB communities to provide services as necessary. These positions utilize teaching, assessment and nursing skills to effectively assist clients in obtaining an optimal level of independent functioning.
Duties include (but not limited to):
Ensure the Home Care program is based on a client referral assessment process and client independence is maintained;
Provide case management and develop preliminary written care plans to meet the assessed needs of clients;
Prepare task lists with instructions for care for Home Health Aides;
Provide specialized nursing care for clients;
On-going evaluation of client progress and updating care plans based on nursing assessments.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing;
In good standing and registered with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA);
Previous Home Care experience an asset;
Strong communication and public relations skills;
Ability to work effectively as a team member;
The ability to speak/understand Cree will be a definite asset;
Must possess a Valid Driverss License and ability to travel;
Security Clearance: Current Criminal Record Clearance/Vulnerable Sector Screening and Driverss Abstract required upon hire;
