Job Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, the CMHN is accountable for the provision of screening, assessment, referral, case management, and treatment of individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.  This includes persons who may be at risk of developing disability due to mental illness.
Required Qualifications

Valid Class 5 driver's license
Registered or eligible for registration with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
Degree or Diploma from a recognized Psychiatric Nursing Program
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced problem solving skills
Ability to accept and implement change
Ability to assist and develop policies and procedures according to best practices
Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
Ability to make decisions, which must include coordination of staffing, and/or patient care, and/or coordination of equipment
Advanced leadership skills
Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships and communication with other health care professionals
Demonstrated working knowledge in the area of psychopharmacology, psychosocial rehabilitation, recovery model, management of complex clients and psychogeriatrics.
Proven working knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, DSM IV, and The Family Services Act, Mental Health Approved Home Policy and Regulat
