Gateway Co-operative Association Ltd. is a retail located in east central Saskatchewan with locations in Canora, Buchanan, Sturgis and Preeceville. The successful candidate for this position will embrace the positive values, possibilities and evolution of this challenging and rewarding career.
The Gateway Co-op invites applications for a food associate to join our team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for providing exceptional customer service.
- Assist customers in an efficient manner by asking their needs and help them in making purchases.
- Ensure the store is clean, safe and in order.
- Keep shelves fully stocked.
- Process customer orders and payments.
Stocking & facing grocery products, hardware, produce and liquor.
- Required to complete fuel dips, fuel price changes and serving fuel.
- General house cleaning.
- Taking telephone orders and messages.
- Delivering groceries within Buchanan town limits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must be 19 years of age or older.
- Candidate to have valid Serve It Right certification or willing to obtain certification
- Retail experience would be an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Posses excellent communication, people and customer service skills
- Must be able to multi-task in a face-paced environment and have capability to work independently.
- Positive attitude, strong interpersonal expertise and energetic personality.
- Physically able to do heavy lifting of 22 kg (50 lbs), climbing, kneeling, standing for long period of time.
- Willing to work all shifts scheduled including evenings, weekends and days.
