Gateway Co-operative Association Ltd. is a retail located in east central Saskatchewan with locations in Canora, Buchanan, Sturgis and Preeceville. The successful candidate for this position will embrace the positive values, possibilities and evolution of this challenging and rewarding career.
The Gateway Co-op invites applications for a bakery associate to join our team. Hours scheduled will be between 16 and 24, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for providing exceptional customer service.
- Performing all aspects of the position functions including: assisting the bakery department in the production of bakery goods.
- Ensure display presentations and stock levels are maintained.
- Provides general clean up duties such as cleaning spills, cleaning display fixtures, keeping sales floor and back stock area clean.
- Removal of cardboard and garbage as required.
Qualifications:
- Bakery experience would be an asset.
- Has valid food safety certification or willing to obtain certification.
- Expertise in the safe operation of bakery production equipment or willing to be trained
- Must be able to multi-task in a face-paced environment and have capability to work independently.
- Positive attitude, strong interpersonal expertise and energetic personality.
- Physically able to do heavy lifting of 27 kg (60 lbs), climbing, kneeling, standing for long period of time.
- Willing to work all shifts scheduled including evenings, weekends and days.
