We are looking for a Consultant-Agriculture Shows who knows a thing or two about building and cultivating a local, regional, national and international agriculture industry presence. We need a strategic leader who can develop short and long-term strategies for REALs signature agriculture shows and programming to build a strong community around our brand. Were also looking for someone who has experience developing, implementing and measuring internal and external strategies designed to connect agri-business industry leaders and leverage the long history, prosperity and innovation of Saskatchewans agriculture sector. Were looking for a strong team player committed to the teams success and will be a creative thinker and problem solver.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: oversight and development of strategic goals and priorities, developing budgets, creating new revenue streams, controlling costs and meeting overall financial goals. The Consultant - Agriculture Shows works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful planning and programming of REALs signature agriculture show (Canada's Farm Show) along with supporting the delivery of Canadian Western Agribition, with a focus on development of new and innovative plans to ensure achievement of key performance indicators and relevance for industry, exhibitors and attendees.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum requirement of a Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Administration, Agriculture or a related field, or a combination of relevant education, training and experience. Minimum five (5) years trade or consumer show industry experience, preferable with agriculture or consumer shows with a proven ability to support a company brand and engage business and industry leaders.
There is potential for a contract opportunity for a minimum of three (3) years.
