Hope's Home provides childcare and supportive living services to children with complex medical needs. Our Provincial Team in Saskatoon requires an HR Admin Assistant to provide a consistently high standard of administrative support to the Senior Manager of HR. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to and learn about the establishment of a new department within a growing organization. The successful candidate will participate in teamwork as well as completing projects independently.
40 hours/week, Monday to Friday. Term is Feb 3/20 to Jul 31/20, with high potential to lead into a permanent full-time position
Responsibilities:
- Monitor HR communications, providing support and research where necessary
- Research & development
- Records Management
- Assist in creating, proofing, distributing and training on new HR processes/documentation
- Manage various HR procedures
- Data entry
- Quality control re documentation
- Collect and report internal stats
- Help to evaluate needs for HR department growth and sustainability
- All other duties as needed
- Travel within SK required (expenses reimbursed)
Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
- Highly computer literate, additional training in MS Office preferred
- 3+ years of admin experience in an office setting
- Education in Admin or HR (degree, diploma or certificate) an asset
- Adept problem-solver; diplomatic, able to identify and resolve issues
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to effectively read, interpret and report information
- Organized, thorough, and monitors work for quality
- Dependable - follows instructions, responds to direction, willing to improve performance through management feedback
