We are currently recruiting for a Residential, Renovation & Construction Instructor who will work as part of a team dedicated to the success of students registered in the program. The instructor is responsible for providing instruction and tutorial support to students registered in the program. Areas of instruction may include, and are not limited to: Tool and Equipment, Construction Documents and Quantity Survey, Site Layout and Concrete, Footings and Foundations, Framing and Building Envelope, Interior and Exterior Finishing, Materials and Scaffold, Trade Math and Communications. Additional responsibilities include: classroom management, monitoring student progress, submitting reports on a regular basis, and other duties as assigned.
The minimal qualifications for this position are: a Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyperson in Carpentry, two years of relevant experience, and effective communication and interpersonal skills. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Accrediting Institute: Saskatchewan Indian Institutes of Technology. The instructor must meet the accrediting institutes requirements.
