Description

The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion dollar organization based on the fundamental principles of co-operation. It is comprised of a network of approximately 250 autonomous retail co-operatives across Western Canada along with their branch operations, and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). FCL is the wholesaling/manufacturing arm of the CRS, which provides the retail co-ops with a range of products and services.

Reporting to the Agro Manager, the Summer Student position will be exposed to various aspects of Agriculture and Agri-Business by playing a supporting role in the areas of crop inputs, farm equipment and customer service.  The Ag Summer Student will provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers in order to support their business and farming needs.

Responsibilities for this position include the following:
-Provide in-store front end customer service, including cash register operations, responding to phone call inquiries and navigating computer systems
-Receive and warehouse merchandise, ensuring all products are properly labelled and priced
-Assist in the delivery/transportation of Ag bins
-Perform on-site product deliveries to customers yards and farms
-Assist customers with loading products in their vehicle for takeaway  
-Operate power mobile equipment including forklift
-Perform general maintenance duties, including organizing chemical storage warehouse and maintaining cleanliness of yard and company vehicles
-Other duties as assigned

-Previous agriculture background or industry experience is considered an asset
-Must have a valid Saskatchewan drivers license
