The City of Swift Current is inviting applications for a Labourer position to work in the Water and Wastewater Collection Department.  This is an in-scope permanent full-time position.

Under the direction of the Superintendent of Water and Wastewater, you will be part of the crew which is responsible for construction, repair and maintenance of the water distribution system, the sanitary sewage collection system.

Advancement in positions in the Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection are attainable through skills certification.  

Basic Requirements:
    Grade 12 Diploma;
    Willingness to become Youth Certified;
    Previous related experience and proven ability to perform the duties in an efficient and skillful manner;
    Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5A (Air Brake) Saskatchewan Drivers License;
    Flagperson Training;
    OH&S Level 1;
    Must be physically fit and able to perform outside physical labour at all times of the year including various weather conditions and temperature extremes; and
    Ability to work well with other employees.

Desirable Requirements:
    Possession of or ability to obtain Water and / or Wastewater Certification. Training as required by the Water Security Agency.  (Preference will be given to candidates who have completed appropriate training);
    Confined Space;
    Ground Disturbance;
    Class 3A License;
    H2S Alive; and
    Fall Protection.
