Description

The City of Swift Current is accepting applications for a Jetting / Hydrovac Truck Operator.  This is a permanent full time position.  This position will report to the Superintendent of Streets & Roadways in the Infrastructure and Operations Department. Work will involve operating a Jetting / Hydrovac truck and other related equipment used in the maintenance of municipal infrastructure.

Basic Requirements:
    Grade 12;
    Ground Disturbance;
    Confined Space;
    H2S;
    Class 3A Drivers License;
    Willingness to obtain a Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check as we are a Youth Certified Employer;
    Experience in jetting and maintenance of sanitary and storm sewer main lines:
    Experience in ground disturbance and hydro-vac operations:
    Experience in locating and exposing shallow and deep utilities;
    Ability to maintain general equipment;
    Knowledge of construction, maintenance and safety procedures; and
    Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Desirable:
    Occupational, Health & Safety Level 1 & 2;
    PME training; and
    Pesticide Applicator Certification.
