Description

March Consulting Associates Inc. is an employee owned, multi-disciplinary engineering company with offices in Saskatoon and Regina. March provides engineering, procurement, project and construction management services to a variety of heavy industrial and commercial enterprises. In addition to our full spectrum of EPCM services, March has developed special expertise in feasibility studies and asset integrity in the heavy industrial sector (e.g. Mining, Resources and Utilities).

We are looking to add an Electrical Designer to either our Saskatoon or Regina office. Reporting to the Electrical Discipline Lead, the Electrical Designer is responsible for working collaboratively for the design and development of high, medium and low voltage electrical distribution systems.

As an Electrical Designer, you will work closely with other project team members to develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data. Your AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience will ultimately help our clients visualize the designs and ensure there are no interferences with other aspects of the projects.

The ideal candidate has completed a diploma program in Electrical Systems Technology or equivalent and has at least 3 to 5 years of work experience. Excellent communication skills are required to work collaboratively with others, interact with clients and while drafting specifications, schedules and technical reports. Experience in the mining industry and/or experience in heavy industrial work with brownfield and greenfield projects would be considered assets.
