Description

La Loche is a community of around 2600 people located on the eastern shore of Lac La Loche in Canadas boreal forest. Dene is a language spoken by 89% of the population in La Loche.  La Loche Housing Authority provides social housing to low-income seniors, families, and others who could not otherwise access, safe, secure shelter within La Loche and the neighbouring communities.

The La Loche Housing Authority is currently hiring for a full time MAINTENANCE WORKER.  If you are ambitious and skilled in building and property maintenance, wed love to hear from you!

What youll do:
building maintenance - service and repair
vacancy preparation
grounds maintenance
maintain housing authority equipment and inventory

What were looking for:
experience repairing building mechanical equipment; custodial and maintenance work
knowledge in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, heating, mechanical, painting, electrical, and grounds work
ability to promote and participate in positive working relationships with management, staff, and tenants
ability to lift heavy loads
basic computer skills

What youll need:
Minimum Grade 12 education, supplemented by formal training in a technical or building trade (carpentry, plumbing, electrical)
1  3 years experience in a maintenance & repair environment OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
A valid drivers license and a suitable, roadworthy vehicle
