Description

The Battlefords Housing Authority is recruiting for the position of Finance & Business Operations Manager.

As the largest landlord in the Battlefords,the Battlefords Housing Authority delivers provincial subsidized housing programs for Saskatchewan Housing Corporation. The housing properties are well maintained and provide a safe, stable and affordable option for seniors, families and individual residents in The Battlefords and district.

What You Will Do:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance &  Business Operations Manager is responsible for the direct oversight of daily business practices, processes and policies, ensuring compliance and accounting system integrity.

The Finance & Business Operations Manager will supervise and coordinate financial administrative activities, maintain records management systems, provide direct governance administrative support to the GM, coordinate IT services, develop and maintain office practices, policies and procedures.  The position is accountable for the financial oversight of payroll and benefit services.

What We Are Looking For:
- A Degree in administration, commerce or business with 3-5 years related experience at a managerial or supervisory level; or a  combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Proficiency using computer programs such as MS Office Suite; knowledge of JD Edwards a definite asset
- Solid knowledge of general accounting practices and relevant payroll polices and regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, work under pressure, meet strict deadlines in a changing environment
- Must demonstrate recognition of, and respect for, peoples diversity
- A valid drivers license and reliable vehicle are required
