Description

March Consulting Associates Inc. is an employee owned, multi-disciplinary engineering company with offices in Saskatoon and Regina. March provides engineering, procurement, project and construction management services to a variety of heavy industrial and commercial enterprises. In addition to our full spectrum of EPCM services, March has developed special expertise in feasibility studies and asset integrity in the heavy industrial sector (e.g. Mining, Resources and Utilities).

We are looking to add an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to either our Saskatoon or Regina office. Reporting to the Instrumentation & Controls Discipline Lead, the I&C Engineer is responsible for working collaboratively on the feasibility, design, operation and performance of instrumentation and control systems, equipment and components.

As an I&C Engineer, you will work collaboratively with other team members on complex and innovative automation projects to improve and streamline underground and surface mine operations and industrial facilities. Duties will include selection of instruments and control systems, preparing I&C documents and drawings such as P&IDs, control cabinets and networks, specifications, loop diagrams/schematics and control narratives. Some field work and site commissioning may be required. Previous experience with PLC, HMI, and DCS programming will be an asset.

The ideal candidate is a Professional Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in heavy industrial engineering consulting, preferably in potash and/or uranium mining industries. Excellent communication skills are required to work collaboratively with others, interact with clients and while preparing or presenting technical reports and information. Demonstrated ability to manage small projects would be considered an asset.
