Description

The Provincial Auditor of Saskatchewan is seeking an experienced communications professional. Responsibilities for this position include:

    Editing internal/external publications for accuracy, readability, and publication  
    Media relations, management and monitoring, including organizing press conferences
    Writing and developing communications materials (e.g., news releases, web content, reports)
    Managing the Office's external website and intranet, including content creation
    Social media management. Content development and curation, including visuals
    Designing graphics for various materials (e.g., ads, infographics, print) and media platforms
    Research, incl. developing and administering surveys, analyzing data, and reporting results

Candidate Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum five years of experience as a public relations/communications/journalism professional, including direct experience in writing and editing, media relations, website design and maintenance, graphic design, social media, strategic communications, internal communications, research, and event planning/press conferences

Exceptional analytical and project management skills combined with initiative, sound judgment, flexibility, and decision-making competence

Able to establish and maintain rapport with colleagues and external consultants

A proficient writer, a sharp eye for detail, and thorough knowledge of English grammar and punctuation, and the editing/proofreading process

Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience using Adobe Creative Suite

Knowledge of government and the public sector, preferably in Saskatchewan, an asset

Print production knowledge an asset
