Sask Sport Inc.'s Administration Centre provides general accounting services to a 50+ non-profit sport, culture, and recreation clients. The Accounting Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing this accounting function of the Administration Centre. Responsibilities of this position include:
Preparation and analysis of financial information on a monthly and annual basis;
Reviewing completed statements, verifying balance sheet listings, budget variance analysis;
Overseeing the preparation of GST, PST, NPO Information, Charity and T2 returns;
Preparing and reviewing general ledger adjusting entries;
Preparation and review of audit packages;
Exceptional and timely responses to client inquiries;
Delivering workshops on understanding board financial responsibility and other best practices;
Training new client services accounting staff;
Assisting the CFO in monitoring, evaluating, and development of systems;
Preparation and analysis of special client reports as required;
Assist with department workflow as needed
Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge of the provincial sport, culture, and recreation delivery system an asset;
Experience in the non-profit sector an asset
Communication verbal, written, interpersonal;
ACCPAC, Excel;
Financial, analytical, attention to detail, organization, time management;
Manage a variety of tasks and adapt to unexpected interruptions;
Work with minimal supervision, contribute to a team environment;
Qualifications and experience:
Completion of CPA designation;
Minimum 4 years experience in a role that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties required of this position
