Job Description: The Ethics Coordinator is responsible for planning and delivering an integrated and sustainable Ethics Program focused on ethics education for SPH and the Catholic Health Association of Saskatchewan (CHAS). The Ethics Coordinator must demonstrate knowledge of and behaviors aligned with the vision, mission, and values of the stakeholder organizations and in accordance to standards of ethical practice as set out in the moral teaching of the Catholic Church as articulated in the Health Ethics Guide of the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada, common law, legislation and common ethics within society. The key role of the Ethics Coordinator is to enhance ethical awareness and practice by promoting ethical behavior and decision-making within St. Paul's Hospital and provincially through CHAS and other health region facilities upon request.
Required Qualifications

Master's Degree in bioethics, ethics, theology, or a related field
Experience
Experience in clinical/organizational ethics, and ethics education, and/or a fellowship and experience in healthcare ethics is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to manage within an environment of restricted resources
Ability to plan, prioritize and oversee numerous concurrent projects effectively
Knowledge of Collective Bargaining agreements (SUN, HSAS, SEIU)
Adult education skills and experience, including the ability to deliver effectively educational and academic material.
Demonstrated understanding of legislation impacting health care delivery in Saskatchewan.
Effective collaborative skills both as a team leader and member and the ability to work with individuals at all lev
