Position and Responsibilities
You will provide geo-environmental expertise in tailings, waste rock and water management to support our Saskatchewan mining and milling operations. The position will be based in Saskatoon with travel to northern Saskatchewan based operations.
This role will include compiling and analyzing data to support operational plans and performance assessment, writing technical documents, performing site- based monitoring and inspections, and leading field studies or investigations.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in geological, environmental or civil engineering, in earth sciences
Five years of relevant work experience
You must be eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
Assets:
Graduate degree in engineering or earth sciences
Technical experience assessing tailings or waste rock performance, earth-fill dams, slope stability, environmental hydrogeology, or mine site reclamation.
Proven capability in writing reports and technical communications
Experience working in a mining or industrial environment
