Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is providing support to the Quality System, Customer Quality requirements and system maintenance.
The position is ideally suited to an individual capable of inspecting parts and products using standard measuring equipment, but also capable of documenting and discussing such results with the person(s) involved. Where problems exist, the Inspector must be able to provided suggestions and be part of the solution to continually improve processes and reduce rework.
This candidate will have had exposure to a manufacturing environment, and some type of technical training or background in such applications. Experience with ISO, LTL Transport, ERP, MRP, or database driven production systems is an asset. Candidates must be able to read and understand CAD drawings, and all nomenclature associated with drawings.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Inspect, test or measure materials or products being produced;
Perform visual in-process and finished product final inspections;
Document quality procedures as per Quality System requirements,
Recommend improvements to manufacturing that improve quality;
Track data and implement changes for improvements;
Monitor all non-conformance parts and document as per standards;
Monitor and Control all returned goods in a timely manner as per standards;
Inspect parts prior to shipping for fit and quality.
