Description

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Worker will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. The Warehouse Worker must understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse operations.
Job Duties:
Prepare receiving dock to accept incoming product; prepare materials for shipment
Match incoming/outgoing product with purchase orders
Operate forklift in a safe manner to move product
May be required to assist with scheduling freight appointments
Lifting/carrying of product according to documented procedures
Must be able to lift weights up to 100+ lbs repeatedly
Accurate loading and unloading of deliveries; Sort and distribute incoming shipments
Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for incoming/outgoing items prior to signing off
Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor
Maintain clean and organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations
May make deliveries with a company vehicle as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Forklift certification preferred
Working experience in Shipping and Receiving role preferred
Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to weigh and measure items
Working knowledge of safe lifting methods
Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift truck
Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
Attention to detail in all areas of work with good organizational and time management skills
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Manual dexterity required to lift and handle objects
This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes, and oils
