The Payroll Officer is responsible for the processing and maintaining of all payroll functions for all employees. They will provide high quality and confidential support on a comprehensive range of payroll activities including benefits administration. Being an expert in and adhering to applicable legislation and collective bargaining agreements is required.

Qualifications:
A post-secondary certificate or diploma relating to the position or a combination of relevant education and experience
3 years of payroll administration experience
In-depth knowledge of policies, procedures, processes and standards related to payroll and benefits administration
Current working knowledge of legislation, labour and employment law
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
Strong computer skills in Microsoft, Kronos, UltiPro, ADP
Experience administering payroll in a unionized environment would be considered an asset
