David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a leader in the financial industry to recruit a Business Solutions Manager for their Saskatoon location. Our customer requires someone with previous banking experience who understands vendor management and has teaching/coaching experience.  The successful candidate will also come from an IT background with experience supporting and implementing a variety of applications. The Role:
This role is critical to the organization because it directly impacts whether other business units can meet their strategic objectives. Duties include:
Provide support to business units by identifying ways to leverage technology to achieve business goals
Working with vendors to choose technology that meets business requirements
Understanding interdependencies between systems
Testing updates to current systems, review of release notes and handling all aspects of deployment and bug testing
Ensure that all end-users understand the technology, and provide support through documentation and help-desk functions
Lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining budget expectations and timelines
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working within the financial industry is a must
A bachelors degree in IT, computer science or a related field is preferred
Experience supporting and implementing enterprise applications
Ability to be innovative and develop process enhancements and efficiencies
Strong analytical skills with highly developed attention to detail
Ability to adjust to changing work priorities and meet deadlines
Basic project management experience
Ability to establish effective rapport with all levels of internal and external customers to provide professional customer service
Demonstrated skills in building diverse teams and performance management
