Key responsibilities will include:
Providing advice and guidance to all Labor Relations matters
Create continuous improvement initiatives
Continual innovation to develop rewards and recognition, retention, performance management, leadership development and employee development programs
Continuous succession planning and monitoring of Attendance, Turnover and Retention
Effectively managing the HR team to ensure initiatives are aligned with plant operational strategy
Management of HR budget
Providing advice and consultative support to leaders
Bringing forward new and innovative HR solutions to enhance the success of the organization
The Ideal Candidate:
6+ years of HR experience with a minimum of 3 years in a management position.
Bachelor's degree, CPHR designation preferred.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
Strong business acumen to align both business objectives and HR strategies with corporate goals
Skilled in examining operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing HR initiatives
Adept at managing a functional team and utilizing the organizational and problem-solving abilities of your team
