Description

This position holds responsibility assisting a number of adults with differing abilities in a supportive independent living program by in enhancing their skills and abilities to attain their maximum level of independent living.
To follow the established person-centered plans, and assist clients in a manner that maximizes their potential and quality of life.

To provide growth and educational opportunities to improve and maintain independent living skills.

To maximize the opportunity for each individuals ability to make choices, and operate his/her own affairs for independently living.

To assist with dignity and respect and to create a safe and caring environment for individuals to live and grow.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Meal planning to meet individual's dietary needs
-creating and abiding by a budget for needs and wants
-Grocery shopping
-determining and planning to successfully achieve goals
-assistance with care and maintenance of individuals home, including completing household chores
scheduling and attending appointments
assisting individuals to build and maintain employment skills
-helping to find and access a variety of social opportunities in the community and build relationships in order to be safe, happy and healthy
