Education/Certificates/Credentials:  Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

Security and Safety:
    Medical exam
    Driver's validity license check
    Driving record check (abstract with NSC portion)

Transportation/Travel Information:
    Willing to travel for extended periods (usually 4-6 days).  We haul mainly in the western provinces (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba).
    Drive manual transmission vehicle
    Valid driver's license

Type of Trucking and Equipment:
    Flatbed
    Tractor-trailer B train

Own Tools/Equipment:

    Cellular phone

Communication Systems Experience:
    Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Documentation Knowledge:
    Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
    Driver logbook
    Bill of lading
    Accident or incident reports
    Trip reports
    Maintenance and repair reports

Specific Skills:
    Load and unload goods
    Operate and drive straight or articulated trucked to transport goods and materials
    Perform brake adjustments
    Record cargo information
    Hours of service
    Distance travelled and fuel consumption
    Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
    Receive and relay information to central dispatch
