Description

Under the direction of the KidsFirst NORTH Program Manager and the EYFRC Coordinator, the Facilitator will: create a learning rich environment for families, plan, organize and facilitate play-based learning for children and parents. Create collaborative working relationships with community partners & integrate their expertise into the programming. Ensure the program adheres to the vision and mission as outlined in the EYFRC handbook and that the environment reflects the principles of Play and Exploration. Coordinate and supervise volunteers when required. Maintain the physical space ensuring appropriate and adequate resources are available. Assist in data collection. Provide families with information and linkages or referrals when required. (These statements reflect the principle functions of the job, but do not describe all the work assignments inherent in it). Preference will be given to the candidate who has a combination of the following experience and training: EC Certification or equivalent experience and education. Valid First Aid/CPR/Drivers licence and ability to travel. Experience facilitating programs, able to work flexible hours, be self-motivated and able to work independently. Must be a responsible, mature adult who models positive behaviour & lifestyle. Demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm for the importance of early childhood development and the importance of early years family centres. Ability to speak Cree is an asset.  A CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK WITH VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK AND DRIVERS ABSTRACT MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH THE RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW.
