Description

You will be joining a highly-regarded agronomy-focused Ag-Retail Company, renowned for their annual "Field of Dreams" Trials Program and Maximizing Productivity!

Based from our Norquay Office, this position develops long term partnerships with new and existing farm customers, as well as with suppliers and fellow Prairie Soil Services team members. An Agronomists goal is to ensure the highest productivity to our customers while having a significant impact on crop production. You will work to provide our customers with the most current, relevant agronomic advice to ensure that customers have the right information at the right time to make better decisions.

You will be a highly motivated individual that can work efficiently and independently in a high energy, fast paced environment.

As an Agronomist/ Consultant:

-Provide customized consulting services to Prairie Soils' customers in the form of crop recommendations, fertility (micro/macro), soil testing, field scouting, weed and disease management, product knowledge.

-Be the product knowledge specialist in terms of seed qualities and traits, herbicides, fungicides, pesticides, etc. for the staff and customers of Prairie Soils to allow everyone to implement and use the most appropriate and beneficial product for whatever application is in question or necessary, along with completing and closing the sale.

-Manage the Chemical, Seed and Micro-nutrient Inventory including supplier orders, projections and supplier relations, utilizing our Agre Accounting and Inventory System by Tronia.

-Prepare, conduct, and manage field size/small plot research trials for the benefit of Prairie Soil's customers to help them maximize their productivity.

-Strategically target new customers and build lasting business relationships with the grower by providing services, support and products from Prairie Soil Services that meet their unique needs.
