Description

We are looking for a Family Treatment Program Manager for an 12-month term, commencing in mid March 2020. The manager provides leadership and resource management of the family programs. They are responsible for creating a safe, positive, and therapeutic work environment. This role leads and manages the high-quality implementation of individual and family treatment plans including all aspects of participation in treatment program, resource assignments, coordination of documentation and records, providing information and feedback to parents, funders and all stakeholders.

Preferred skills
Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task is a key requirement of this position
Exposure to sensitive scenarios (violence, abuse disclosures) are common to the position
Working non-traditional hours are a requirement of the position, including on call and call out as required
Collaboration with multiple community agencies and various referring agencies across Canada
Leading a team of professionals in the delivery of intensive in-home preservation/reunification services
Oversight of budgetary responsibilities, facility needs for program area
Education and experience
Graduate degree in social work field preferred from a recognized post-secondary institution
5 years of experience in providing direct service to families
Strong leadership and training skills
Professional registration is mandatory
Minimum of three years experience in the area of in-home family work
Experience working with and committed to the HOMEBUILDERS model
Knowledge of and experience working with families involved in the child welfare system
Knowledge and experience working with families impacted by addictions and/or mental illness
Knowledge of mental illness and experience with community-based resources
Ability to work with diverse individuals from varying backgrounds
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
