Seasonal employment available at Vogel Honey Farm, SW-25-41-04-W3, RM of Rosthern SK, from May to October 2020. Pay: $12.50 to $14.50/hour depending on qualifications.
Duties Include:
- building and repairing equipment
- maintaining bee yards
- assessing and managing bee colonies
- identifying and catching queens
- removing honey from hives
- extracting honey
- feeding and medicating bees
- preparing hives for winter
- cleaning and storing equipment
- operating and maintaining farm vehicles
The candidate must be physically fit, able to lift heavy loads, tolerant of bee venom, able to work well with others, attentive to detail, able to work efficiently under constant time-pressure, willing to work long hours regardless of weather conditions.
